Karen E. McCormick

 Karen McCormick received a B.S. from Clemson University in 1980 and her  J.D. from the University of South Carolina in 1988.  She practiced as an  associate attorney with Rosen, Rosen & Hagood until 1992, when she  opened her own firm.  Since then, her sole practice has been focused on  family law, including divorce, separation, child custody,  visitation, and support, property distribution, alimony, and adoptions.   
 

She underwent 40 hours of intense training to become a mediator in 2002,  and is certified by the Supreme Court of South Carolina as a Family  Court Mediator.  She continues to participate in additional Advanced  Mediation training, has presented at several mediation seminars, and  has been involved in hundreds of mediations, both as an attorney and as a  mediator.  She is on the board of the Dispute Resolution section of the  South Carolina Bar Association, and is a member of the Meeting and  Mediation Center of Charleston.
